There’s so much more important stuff going on, why are you focussing on something so trivial? And by more important stuff, I’m including stuff that happens between Ron and Hermione too.
If you ask me, the kiss was nothing compared to when they walked into the great hall holding hands, or when Ron runs off to protect Hermione’s honour.
And in the movie, the kiss just seemed so forced. It didn’t make sense where and how they did it. I know they couldn’t do it how they did in the book, but they could have at least made it flow better idk.
idk, it just bothers me that people seem to be putting too much energy into such a small, insignificant part of the whole story.
This pretty accurately matches my opinion. Although, flawed as it was, still got me pretty emotional so they managed to do something right.
Saw the last ever Harry Potter film yesterday. As I mentioned earlier, I got a couple of tickets to a private screening at the BFI, so I got to dress up a bit. Latest life lesson: I am not good at make up. Or at least I will do perfectly fine until I smear mascara everywhere by accident, and then have to take it all off and start again. Anyway, I felt very pretty yesterday.

Had to say “Diagon Alley” to get into the venue, and there were a whole load of actors dressed as wizards wandering around chatting with the guests. There were nice canapes and drinks, with about half the non-alcoholic drinks running with the magic theme (mocktails in alarming colours with jelly spiders or rats floating in them, test tube “shots”). There were sherbet lemons on the bar :D
Finally sat down to see the film. Spent half the time digging popcorn out of my cleavage and the other half reigning in my emotions, because everyone else was too sensible to be laughing, crying or jumping up and down in their seat going “squeee”. So a part of me wishes I’d done a midnight screening with proper fans rather than a roomful of insurance salespeople and their kids, but nowt much can be done about that.
Snape’s story, and his death was done perfectly. McGonagall and Neville got to be complete BAMFs. I am really struggling to formulate opinions on everything because I am still in a mode of EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND NOTHING HURTS APART FROM MY BROKEN HEART. So maybe I will leave the commentary for now.
I found myself on Wikipedia last night reading every Harry Potter related article I could find, I read until I fell asleep.

One died for power, the other sought dead love, and the last greeted death as an old friend.

I probably walked this road at least once a week for the past 7 years. And played concerts in that church. When I saw they filmed here I had the most massive joy spaz ever.
